Ruby Turns 30!
30 years ago Ruby programming language was born. Interesting to read that it could have been named coral instead by Ruby. But "coral has worse impression than perl" and Ruby is Matsumoto's birthstone.
Ruby is a programming language I love because of its simplicity and community. It doesn't hinder me from building what I want, and I can do it easily.
Check out the original conversation Matz and Keiju had when deciding the code name for what will be know as Ruby today.
